Chowan Chowan Planning Board
The Chowan County Planning Board is an advisory body to the Chowan County Board of Commissioners and deals with land use, zoning and development issues. In addition to attending Planning Board meetings (usually the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm), these board members also hold public hearings on subdivision plan review, rezonings, conditional use and special use permits, and ordinance amendments. The Planning Board consists of seven (7) members appointed by the County Commissioners.
