Chowan County has an opening for a Building Inspector and will be accepting applications for Level I and/or Level II Building Inspector.
Annual starting salary is $40,000 and is determined by qualifications and experience.

Recreation Supervisor

The Edenton-Chowan Recreation Department is seeking a qualified, outstanding candidate to provide leadership, supervision, and coordination of all services for a comprehensive countywide recreation program for all ages and interest groups.  Candidate must be people oriented, able to handle large groups and promote public interest in support of recreational activities.  Candidate must have considerable background in the areas of athletics, youth programming, fitness, special events and facility management.  Candidate must be able to recruit volunteers, network with various community groups and provide effective communications with the public and media.  A valid N.C. Driver’s License is required.  Graduation from a 4-year College with a major in Recreation or a related field required and a minimum of 5 years of experience in supervision of recreation is preferred.
