Planning Division

The Chowan Planning Office is responsible for staffing the County Planning Board and the County Board of Adjustment, and provides supplemental staff to the Chowan County Board of Commissioners. The Planning Staff is responsible for enforcing the Chowan County Development Codes (DC) as well as providing long-range planning for the County. If any citizen has questions regarding the DC, wishes to report a zoning violation, or has questions regarding any future developments or planning strategies for Chowan County, they should contact the Planning Office at (252) 482-5618.
