The Chowan County Finance Office consists of a Finance Officer and an Assistant Finance Officer. These positions are responsible for all financial records for the county government including:
- Receipts
- Disbursements and payroll
- Cash management and investments
- Preparation of financial reports
- Preparation, implementation and monitoring of annual budget
- Reconciliation of records
- Managing grants
- Audit preparation
The Chowan County Finance Office works closely with the County Manager's office as well as all other county departments.
